On Borrowed Time

An exhibition of painting, photography and sculpture that peels back the outer façade, echoes the lost and forgotten and provides a glimpse into the past and its affect on the future.

On Borrowed Time calls upon our past and its impact on our present systems of class, patriarchy, fashion and consumerism. Set within the historical Octagon Chapel, the exhibition explores the temporality of these modes that society places great value upon in the pursuit of culture. The dialogue formed between the work and venue highlights human control over space as disconcertingly fragile and under threat from higher forces of nature.
