Sarah Ball’s work is that of a gatherer; a curator of objects and ideas that are concerned with the visual language of the storyteller.

Her paintings allude to fable and allegory – sourced from museum curios, Victorian taxidermy, studio and police photography, anthologies and collections from the natural world and objects gathered from her immediate surroundings – the sources are re-cast, creating new characters in imagined scenarios.
